Quality
A tea light whose plant-based wax burns completely, doesn't produce soot thanks to the high-quality braided eco-cotton wick, and generates a beautiful flame for up to six hours. That's a high-quality tea light. Furthermore, we use only plant-based wax from responsibly grown, paraffin-free crops. This is the quality that C-lights stands for.
The plant-based cup is certified and accredited by TÜV Austria for industrial composting (see more information below under "After Use"). Furthermore, the C-lights cup is patented because it ensures the metal wick holder stays centered. This not only ensures safe use but also a guaranteed burn time of 6 hours.
About C-lights
Lighting our homes, warming our hearts and souls, connecting people—for these magical purposes, candles have been a meaningful part of human culture for centuries and have become a symbol of remembrance, peace, and serenity. It is our desire to preserve this culture for the future.
How can we do that? By creating harmony between ourselves and nature. Guided by this inspiration, we designed C-lights. This is our first step on our green journey. We invite you to join us on this journey and work with us to make candle production and consumption completely sustainable. We use natural materials and energy from renewable sources in our production, but the most important ingredients we add to every candle are love and respect for our beautiful planet Earth and its people.
Usage
Combine C-lights with a beautiful (transparent) tealight holder to fully enhance the unique ambiance. Note: C-light cups are made of plant-based materials and are flammable. Always place the tealights in a non-flammable tealight holder, away from drafts and flammable materials.
Ensure adequate ventilation in your home and observe all recommended safety precautions. Refer to the safety icons on the packaging and the safety instructions. This way, you can enjoy C-lights and the warm atmosphere of natural candlelight without worry. Use of candles is entirely at your own risk.
After use
Although our plant-based cups (PLA/bioplastic), made from lactic acid from corn, sugarcane, or starch, are TÜV-certified for industrial composting (not home compost), they are unfortunately not yet accepted by waste processors. Even if they are accepted, there will be no waste from our product. The only residue will be pure water—without toxic emissions.
In addition, C-lights' plant-based cups are already "Recyclable in Design" and comply with the new legislation that will only take effect in 2030. A highly recyclable cup that leaves no microplastics behind for future generations.
For now, you should dispose of the cups with your residual waste or burn them in your fireplace after removing the metal wick holder. This way, our plant-based cups will be burned and generate renewable energy to heat our homes.
Do not throw the cups in the plastic or GFT (green) container for the time being.
However, C-lights has been developed, tested, and certified to contribute to a circular economy. We are confident that the current end-of-life challenge is a temporary one and will be resolved in the near future.
