Burning sand – Candle sand

With Sand Wax, you can make your own candle. The candle sand is coloured and comes in a 200-gram bag. Pour some coloured candle sand from the bag into an atmospheric glass, lantern or dish, and you're done... just add a wick and enjoy!

The “Burning Sand” bag has the following characteristics:

• Each bag contains 200 grams/500 grams of candle sand;
• Each bag contains 10 wicks, 7 cm long;
• With 200 grams of “Sand Wax”, your candle will burn for 24 to 30 hours;
• With 500 grams of “Sand Wax”, your candle will burn for 50 to 65 hours;
• No paraffin added:

The candle sand is made from stearin, a vegetable-based wax. Stearin is odourless and tasteless. You can combine the different colours of “Candle Sand” with each other.


How does it work exactly?
Choose a nice decorative glass, lantern or bowl. Pour in the desired colour and amount of candle sand. Insert the wick into the sand until it reaches the bottom, and cut it off about 1 cm above the sand. Your candle is now ready for use. Light the wick. The “Sand Wax” around the flame will melt and burn, just like a real candle. Time to extinguish the candle? Blow out the flame. Allow the melted wax to solidify. You can remove this from the wick if you wish, but it is not necessary. The next time you want to create a cosy atmosphere in your home, simply light the wick again.

You can choose to use up all the Candle Sand, but it is also possible to refill it in between uses
